Measure the footprint
Measure the rough length and width of the pile, then estimate its average height. Irregular branches contain air space, so dimensions are a planning aid rather than a final truck-volume quote.
Take photos that answer questions
Stand far enough back to show the full pile and include a familiar object for scale. Add a second photo of the route to the truck, including stairs, gates and the parking spot.
Explain how the pile is packed
Loose brush, tied bundles and dense bags load differently. Note wet material, soil or sod because weight can matter as much as volume. The final quote should follow an on-site look at the actual load.
